Excursion to Ronda and the White Villages from Seville

Discover the beauty of Ronda and the White Villages on a unique day trip from Seville

Embark on an unforgettable day trip from Seville to the most authentic heart of Andalusia, discovering Ronda and the charming White Villages, a route steeped in history, landscapes and tradition.

The route begins by crossing the ancient border that separated the Christian kingdoms of Castile and Granada (Al-Andalus). Along the way, you will enjoy the contrasts of the Andalusian countryside, where you can admire the castle of Aguzaderas as you pass by, until you reach an increasingly mountainous environment.

Our first stop will be at a traditional oil mill, where you will learn all the secrets of olive oil production. You will discover how this ‘liquid gold’ is made using traditional methods and enjoy a tasting of extra virgin olive oil, one of the most emblematic products of Andalusian cuisine.

We will continue our journey to the village of Zahara de la Sierra, one of the most beautiful of the White Villages. Its spectacular location atop a hill will leave you speechless. We will stroll through its narrow cobbled streets, admiring the panoramic views and learning about the local history and culture.

We will continue on to the impressive Sierra de Grazalema, an area declared a Biosphere Reserve due to its natural wealth. Here we will discover native species such as the Spanish fir, a fir tree unique in the world, and the Payoya goat, from which the famous Payoyo cheese is made. In Grazalema, we will stop for lunch, where your guide will recommend the best places to sample typical Andalusian dishes and enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

After lunch, you will have free time to stroll through its charming white streets, admire the mountains and, with a bit of luck, watch golden eagles or griffon vultures flying overhead.

Our day trip continues to the romantic city of Ronda, one of the oldest in Spain, with origins dating back to prehistoric times. We will pass through the Alcornocales Natural Park, one of the largest in the country, where you will learn about the importance of the cork oak and the cork industry.

Once in Ronda, we will visit iconic sites such as the Alameda del Tajo, with its 19th-century gardens and breathtaking views of the gorge. We will visit its most famous landmark, the Puente Nuevo bridge, which connects the old and new quarters and offers a unique panoramic view of the Tajo de Ronda gorge, which is over 100 metres deep.

Your local guide will provide you with all the information you need to explore Ronda at your own pace: its bullring, the Paseo de los Toreros, the historic streets and its charming corners.

At the end of the visit, we will return to Seville, taking with us memories of a day filled with nature, culture and Andalusian flavour.
